Iris Metals Limited transferred 31 tenements covering 11,709 hectares in the Niagara district of the Shire of Menzies to Kym Mining Pty Ltd. IRIS Metals has said its WA activity is focused on the Kookynie and Leonora projects, while Kym Mining is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arika Resources, which said in February 2026 it intended to complete the acquisition through KYM to consolidate 100% ownership of the Yundamindra and Kookynie gold projects in Western Australia.

Why it matters: Kym Mining is backed by Arika Resources, which has signalled it wants full control of the Kookynie area ground.
